Follow Your Compass
How can you know if you are in the right place and if the yoga practiced there suits you?
Yoga should connect you with yourself, and you should not have any role models. Instructors are there to show you how the forms of asanas should look, identify any irregularities in your practice, and help you avoid self-injury. A subtler level of yoga occurs when you dive deeply into yourself and start to listen to your breath, thoughts, and, of course, your body. Form is important, but without essence, it is just an empty shell. Therefore, it is crucial that you feel sufficiently relaxed in the studio where you practice yoga, and that you have instructors who will take care of you, who will not coddle you but also not be overly demanding. Always inquire thoroughly about everything that interests you, and our advice is to try yoga at several places, as this is the only way to find the yoga that suits you and your needs.
What are we striving for
Our idea is to establish closeness and equality between those who receive and those who impart knowledge. Yoga is a mutual process from which everyone learns equally. All instructors who have worked or are working at Bliss Studio have had the freedom to be fully authentic and to share all their knowledge in their classes without imposing rigid systems. The only two rules that must not be broken are that the class must be safe and aligned with the needs of the participants.
